WalletPoll: Are you giving up booze and fags?
Filed under: WalletPoll, Food and Drink, Emergency Budget
Now the Budget has come in, everyone's vices seem to take a bit of a knock. This year it's not too bad, with cigarettes going up 7p a packet, and a pint of beer increasing 4p a pint. That's pretty standard, don't you think? And it's not something that I'm going to worry about too much. I'm not a heavy smoker, and I can't really drink that many beers without falling over. So it'll probably cost me around an extra £1 a week at the most. I can cope with that. But many people see this as the perfect opportunity to quit the evil weed and cut down on their drinking. So I've put a little poll together. How many of you are giving up smoking or drinking today? Is the increase in prices making us more healthy? Tell us what you think in the poll over the jump.

How do you do… FAGS
"We want to help you"
What? If vilifying large groups of society for no reason, ostracising them to the cold climate, bombarding them with nightmarish obscene imagery of cancerous lungs and diseases while already threatening them with death, illness and deformed babies and, AND charging those people more and more money for the privilege of doing that sounds, like a heap of help. Sounds like an invasion of our civil liberties to live, without judgment. Considering the smoking masses make up 1.1 billion of us or 17% of the worlds population. I think that makes a pretty strong, probably not healthy, minority.
