Shocking news about next month's Cannes Film Festival emerged today. The parties are going to be less lavish, the most exclusive hotels still have rooms to spare, and yacht bookings are down.This is just plain wrong.
Cannes is supposed to provide an injection of glamour into our lives. We have plenty of credit crunch misery at home thank you very much. We don't need the rich and famous cutting back. We need to see them living it up, waltzing down red carpets, and sailing into the sunset on multi-million dollar boats.
